Sunburn damage first appears as small, interveinal, brick-red spots on upper and lower leaf surfaces. Discoloration may spread over and along the veins, with spots later developing brownish centers. Sunburn damage may be confused in the southern U.S. with foliar symptoms of purple seed stain fungus and certain viruses. |
