Crop Injury Diagnostic Clinic (Date 2), July 24 - July 25, 2008
This clinic is designed to train or update agricultural professionals in the management of crop health and field crop diagnostics. Participants will have the opportunity to fine tune their skills in diagnosing crop production and pest problems.

Tour Native Stands of Black Walnut - Treasures in the Forgotten Woods Along Missouri Creeks, July 26, 2008
Farmers and other landowners in NE MO are invited to learn about the native stands of walnut mixed in the wooded areas along the creeks. Most every large farm in north MO has a creek with idled small fields or pasture areas that are growing up to mixed timber. Tour stops will illustrate what is typically growing on these deep alluvial soils, how to provide some timber stand improvement procedures, potential value from the most valuable timber MO can raise, and how to manage a timber sale to garner the most return and protect the harvested land.

National Walnut Council Meeting, August 3 - August 6, 2008
Walnut Council members and guests will tour and learn about managing native stands and plantations of walnut, timber appraisals, advice regarding management of a timber sale, and seeing a commercial walnut milling operation. Drainage Installation Field Days, August 21 - August 22, 2008
Two one-day clinics are being offered. The program will include drain tile installation demonstration, and presentations on yield benefits of drainage, survey and design, and producer experience.

Tomato Festival, September 4, 2008
Taste over 50 tomato varieties and over 30 varieties of peppers, taste different salsa from local vendors, visit with horticultural experts and master gardeners to have your gardening questions answered, and watch informal lectures on tomato & pepper uses
